Overview

MarketPulse is an educational market sentiment app. It shows market sentiment indicators, historical context, shareable sentiment cards, and plain-language explanations. The current release does not require an account and does not connect to brokerage or trading accounts.

Information We Collect

Feedback you submit

If you use the feedback form, we may collect:

Feedback text you type
Images you explicitly attach
App language
Platform name
App version

We use this information to respond to feedback, diagnose bugs, and improve the app.

Daily Room votes

If you vote in Daily Room, we may collect your anonymous market-mood vote (Bullish / Neutral / Bearish), along with the date of the Daily Room and a random local installation voter key. The voter key lets the app keep one active vote per market data day and lets you change your choice. The current release does not link this vote to an account because the app does not require accounts.

Technical logs

When the app communicates with the MarketPulse backend, our hosting and server infrastructure may process basic technical logs such as IP address, request path and timestamp, error logs, and device and network metadata normally included in web requests. We use these logs for security, reliability, abuse prevention, debugging, and service operation.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which features people use and to guide what we build and improve, MarketPulse collects anonymous, aggregated usage events — for example which screens you open, which indicators you view, whether you vote in Daily Room, and whether you use the home-screen widget. Each event is tied only to a random installation ID generated on your device — not your device ID, advertising ID, or any account — together with the app version and platform. We use this only in aggregate to make product decisions. It is sent to our own backend and is not sold or shared with third parties, and there is no third-party advertising or tracking SDK. We also record whether an install came from the app store or a developer test build so our own testing does not distort the metrics.

Photos and media

MarketPulse can save generated sentiment cards to your photo library when you choose the save action. The saved image is created by the app. MarketPulse does not upload your photo library. If you attach an image to feedback, only the images you choose are uploaded with that feedback submission.

Notifications

MarketPulse may request notification permission for local test notifications and future sentiment reminders. The current beta notification queue is not a production push notification system. If device registration, FCM, APNs, or production push notifications are added later, this policy and the store privacy labels will be updated before release.

Local app data

MarketPulse may store small pieces of app data on your device, such as daily check-in state, saved focus signals, Pulse Memory for comparing your current read with the previous read, the latest loaded Pulse used by the home-screen widget, selected Daily Room vote state, and language preference. This local app data is not uploaded to MarketPulse unless it is included in feedback you choose to send or submitted through a Daily Room vote.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

Provide the app experience
Respond to feedback
Fix bugs
Monitor service reliability
Prevent abuse
Improve educational market sentiment features

We do not sell personal information.

Data Sharing

MarketPulse may use service providers for hosting, database storage, logging, app distribution, and support operations. These providers process information only to operate the app and related services. MarketPulse does not share user feedback or uploaded images with advertising networks.

Data Retention

Feedback and attached images are retained only as long as needed for support, debugging, and product improvement. Technical logs are retained for the shortest practical operational period for security, reliability, and debugging.

You can request deletion of feedback you submitted by contacting support. We may need enough detail to find the submission, such as approximate date, device platform, and the feedback text you provided.

Children

MarketPulse is not designed for children and is not directed to children under 13.

International Processing

MarketPulse and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence to operate the app and backend service.
